During the early morning hours a fight broke out in the Black Bull, long known to be one of the dockside’s roughest establishments. During the commotion a young noble by the name of Jacob Von Katzenreik was brutally murdered, and his friend Georg Von Ostbrun was grievously wounded. It’s not known at the moment why two such promising young gentlemen were in the vicinity of the docks at such a late hour.
The city watch have also been alerted to an altercation earlier in the evening between the same two young men and a gathering of ne’er do wells in the Boatman Inn on the Street of a Hundred Taverns. At present little is known about this other group, except to say there are around four or five of them, one of which is believed to be a Halfling.
The watch will circulate a description of the party in due time and are eager to speak with them as soon as possible. We suspect the Von Katzenreik family will offer a reward for the apprehension of such vile criminals.
Earlier two more bodies were discovered murdered in an alleyway leading to the docks. The victims this time two young artisans. They have yet to be identified.
The watch believe the incidents may be connected.
