Episode 1 – Aleena’s letter to Thomas

My dearest Thomas,

Thank you so much for introducing me to your friends last night. It’s always good to meet those who are new in town. I have no doubt you’ll forgive me for treating them the way I did.

It appears they may make resourceful and worthy additions to our little group. I have to admit, I didn’t see that coming!

Blake arrived back in a foul mood. He claims he saw one of his associates incapacitated by your friend and won’t stop complaining about how his motorcycle was destroyed in a crash. Honestly, I sometimes wonder what matters to him most, his companions or his precious toys.

Regardless, it may be worth letting them know someone may be holding a grudge against them. It’s going to be interesting to see how they adapt over the coming nights, which brings me to my reason for writing.

You are to be their guide in the ways of our city. Impress upon them the value and sanctity of our traditions especially the first. No doubt a history lesson would help. If you can, give them something productive to do.

It goes without saying that they are now your responsibility, I will be holding you to the fourth tradition as though they were your own. As far as the sixth tradition goes you have my blessing if that’s what you feel is right.

I know you won’t disappoint!

Yours, Aleena
