It’ll take a while until we know for sure if your exploits have made any real difference, but the initial reactions seem to be promising! Obviously we have no way to measure this effectively, but the rumours we’re hearing certainly have the local gangs talking.
In the early hours of the morning I was awoken by Petronilla, one of the Vigilites on the Mud Gate patrol. The body of a ganger had been found hanging by his feet on one of the loading docks. Seems he’s a member of Block 24-96. He was at the Edifice of Tears earlier in the night. Apparently he was drunk and raving that he was the target of a kill-team.
He appears to have been submerged in the mud that surrounds the hive prior to being hung. The acid had burnt much of his skin, and his hands were bound with chains around his throat. His wrist pushing in so hard the medicae suggests he died of asphyxiation rather than the burns.
After seeing that I decided to take a look at the warehouse. The only evidence I found was a high temperature burn mark on the rockcrete, and some broken steps leading up to the quartermaster’s office. Looks like something heavy had been dropped there. I’m assuming you didn’t clean up after yourselves, and as we’d disabled the surveillance we have no idea who did.
It’s often the case that these low level gangs are just puppets and someone else is tugging on the strings. I think we got their attention!
